FCCLA
FAMILY CAREER and COMMUNITY LEADERS of AMERICA is the national organization of girls and boys studying family and consumer sciences in junior and senior highs schools of the United States, Puerto Rico, and in American schools overseas.
Any student who is taking or has taken a family and consumer science course may become a member. Membership is voluntary. The student is required to learn the creed, the eight purposes, emblem, color, and flower of the FCCLA.
FCCLA believes that every individual member counts, has a special contribution to make to the chapter, and provision is made for active participation; that through cooperation the chapter can achieve many goals that an individual can not; and that youth members and adults can work together, each gaining from the other.
