Collaborative Project Benefits Students & Walnut Point State Park
As a part of a collaborative project, students in Mrs. Welch's biology class worked with Mr. Welch and his Industrial Arts classes to build 10 duck boxes. Mrs. Sweeney’s Art class then put the finishing touches on the boxes by burning Titan heads into the top of the boxes.
On Wednesday, April 26th, the Biology students teamed with Walnut Point State Park and employees of the Illinois Department of Natural resources to install 4 of the duck boxes. 6 more will be installed at a later date.
