High School English

Hello!  This is my fourth year teaching at Oakland High School.  I teach English I, English II, English III, English IV, English Literature, and Speech.  This means that most OHS students will be in my class at least once, if not more!

I graduated from EIU in 2001 and immediately began teaching at an alternative high school program called Pathways.  I taught there for 17 years, but needed a new challenge, which brought me to Oakland.  It was an excellent fit for me and I am so happy to be here. 

I live in the country, just outside of Charleston.  My husband, Alex, has a State Farm agency in Mattoon.   Our oldest son, Gage, lives in Chicago and waits tables and makes money.  Living at home with us is Cambree, who is 13, Ridge, who is 10, and our two dogs.  I am looking forward to a great school year!  Please feel free to email me anytime with questions or concerns.
