My name is TJ Blake and I am a Junior High/High School Physical Education and the High School Health teacher here at Oakland CUSD #5. I just recently joined the staff here at the beginning of this semester.

I graduated from OHS back in 2012 and am ecstatic to be back and giving back to the school and community that meant so much to me during my years as a student. After high school, I attended Eastern Illinois University and obtained my bachelor's in Kinesiology with a teaching certification in May of 2016. The following school year, I became the physical education teacher at Shiloh CUSD #1 and taught there up through last semester.

As for coaching, I have been an assistant coach for three different sports for a total of 10 seasons; seven seasons as an assistant football coach for Tri-County, two seasons as an assistant basketball coach for Tri-County, and one season as an assistant baseball coach for Paris High School.

Again, I am excited to be back within the district and hope that my experiences will allow me to make a difference in as many students' lives as I can, just as my teachers and coaches did for me.
