FFA

FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA is the nation’s largest premier leadership development organization for high school youth. The FFA focuses on career success, premier leadership and personal growth. Members must be enrolled or previously enrolled in an Agriculture class to participate. Career Development Events are held with other schools that allow students to demonstrate their proficiency of skills learned during classroom instruction.  Examples of CDE’s include livestock evaluation, public speaking, computer science and parliamentary procedure. Students are required to keep an SAE record (project) on subjects that interest them and these are linked closely with classroom instruction.  College scholarships are available from these projects upon graduation. Members will have the opportunity to attend state and national conventions, FFA leadership camp and multiple leadership development opportunities outside of the classroom.
