Amended 22-23 and Approved 23-24 School Calendars
Launch the media gallery 1 playerDuring the March board meeting, the Oakland CUSD #5 Board of Education approved the amended 2022-2023 school calendar as well as the 2023-2024 school calendar for next year.
The 22-23 calendard had to be amended due to a snow day in January. The amended school calendar reflects that one additional day which is May 19th, the new last day of student attendance. The Teacher Institute originally scheduled for May 19 is now May 22.
The board also approved next years calendar at the March meeting. The 2023-2024 school year starts with two consecutive Teacher Institutes on August 15 and 16. The first student attendance day is August 17. Special dates to note on the 2023-2024 school calendar are;
August 17 - First Student Attendance Day
November 22 - 26 Thanksgiving Break
December 21 - January 2 Winter Break
March 28 - April 1 Spring Break
May 16 - Tentative Final Student Attendance Day
